    Student Visa Process

    International students accepted by higher education institutions in Hungary must obtain a student visa (TM-6, valid for 30 days) from the Hungarian Embassy or Consulate before entering the country.

    To receive a student visa, students must submit a Letter of Acceptance from the university. After entering Hungary, students must apply for a residence permit from the Hungarian Police Authorities for Foreign Citizens within 14 days of arrival.

    Important Note

    Students must apply for a residence permit within 15 days of arrival in Hungary if staying longer than 90 days.
